if you contact the turkish embassy online--they have all that information-its an interesting country--if its a university paper then you might want to discuss the kurd situation...the greeks..the EU...and a bit of the other current politics...most of which is on the embassy site-i love their embassy site...the others you can read online--be careful of your sources..I know our universities are sticky about certain online sources-but good luck!!

FYI my FAVOURTIE mosque is ortakoy

    Hola Lucia:

I'm not Turkish, however, from a touristic point of view, make sure you do not leave out Ephesus, which was my personal favourite from my visit there.

And of course, there are lots to talk about Istanbul as its vast surrounding area has been an extremely important commercial, cultural, historical, industrial and political center for many centuries.

As Cameronparkhurst has pointed out, be careful with the sites you use, personally, I think the embassy site is good for personal use, but not for a university research paper. If I can think of anything else, i'll let you know.

    Buena suerte!

its not my country--I am american but I go there. and actually the embassy site is very important and is considered accurate because it is a government site...its stuff like wikipedia you should not use because its authorship is questionable. I have 2 degrees in history and communications--I am done with university
