Haha =D
Kadaif is my grandfather's favourite. I, personally, prefer baklava (the one my father makes). Yummy...
So that's where the word pilaf comes from! ;D There're obviously lots of Turkish borrowings in Macedonian as well. I've stated some of them in the "learning Turkish language" thread and I was wondering if all of them have Turkish origin, or for some of them I am wrong. (nobody replied, however, but never mind :P).

I couldn't agree with you more! Turkish food is THE best! And about the recipes.. probably the ingredients you buy are not the same as in Turkey so... your cooking skills can't help much

What a boring game it was, until the last couple of minutes that is!!. Good for Turkey, but I could not help but feel sorry for Croatia...so close for them too.

You said it - "for the most parts"
Well.. vegetables can not be the same... rice is not the same (unless if you are lucky)... I even doubt the spices can be the same.. But.. it can be very similar so good luck
About the game... I only watched the end - when my neighbors started to get very noisy! And that was a huge cultural shock for me !
PS
later I watched some press conference or something and a Croatian guy was seriously almost crying But well.. it's just a game for god's sake!

I am from Serbia
And considering that Croatia is just around the corner... and, without going any further into analyzing the situation, the neighborhood cheering was a bit strange though not too much... and the choice made me happy anyway
I haven't heard such noise (with gun shots and all!) since Serbia was running for some high positions in the game!
A neighbor of mine from whom I wouldn't really expect to cheer for anyone but Serbia said that Turkish team has a heart and that he would surely cheer for them
