Default General chit chat off-topic discussion

Here you can talk about things, that are not related to lyrics or translations.
All off topic discussions are welcomed in here.

All general forum rules apply also in here. For checking the rules, click here: http://www.allthelyrics.com/forum/tu...uncements.html
Please, follow those rules as close as possible, as continual offensive posts will lead to premature closing of this thread.

Also, as this is daily chit chat: please, be aware, that when this thread becomes oversized (has too many pages, and therefore hard to manage), we will close or delete the thread. Of course, we will open another new thread, to continue chit-chatting.

So, please don't put any translations, or grammar lessons in here!

Have a great time here!

Does anyone know whats happened to Volcano1985????... i havent signed on for some time as i was crazy busy with other things.. When i had a look at one of his messages today, his signature read 'left forum'.. thats so sad!! Occasionally he used to get on my nerves and every now and then we used to tell each other off but he was a lovely guy... if he has really left the forum thats such a pity.. he ll be missed!!!

i am glad to see this is back. this thread is important as it binds the community together... i am told the original thread was closed because some people were offended by the topic..that is censorship. while this forum claims to reserve the right to close a thread--that does not make it right because that is censorship...

this movie clip says it in perfect words...

"America isn't easy. America is advanced citizenship. You gotta want it bad, 'cause it's gonna put up a fight. It's gonna say "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours. You want to claim this land as the land of the free? Then the symbol of your country can't just be a flag; the symbol also has to be one of its citizens exercising his right to burn that flag in protest. Show me that, defend that, celebrate that in your classrooms. Then, you can stand up and sing about the "land of the free".--the american president
this is what we are all about ---this is what we defend---

and i got a lovely email of apology but as i said to her---"freedom of speech"---no apology is ever needed for expressing her feelings and her beliefs...bless her for not standing silent in her beliefs and raising her voice at "the top of her lungs"--while we disagree in spades-- i celebrate that right--i defend that right-

i hope i never see censorship on this site again
