yes it is real story unfortunately..i felt same thing and i hate it too..i am sure all parents have a story about that days and how hard it was..it is wonderful to believe something as these much and to do everything for their ideas..
i loved that movie so much but I have no power to watch it again..i feel pain when I think about it..but it is my country's history(good or bad)..we cant change it but can change future..but I am happy that we would have "youth" who believed something that can be change..=))
are there no such stories in lithuanian revolotion history?=)))

sure there were some BUT we don't have films about it(the one we had was absolutely impossible to watch and if in "babam ve oglum" politics was somewhere in the very background, the lithuanian one was all about politics).
it's always painful to hear such stories but somehow when you yourself have no connection to what is being told, it's much easier to listen then

Personally I can't stand commercial movies like "Çılgın Dersane", "Avanak Kuzenler", "Maskeli Beşler", etc...
Another very good movie:
"Uçurtmayı Vurmasınlar" (Don't Let Them Shoot The Kite)

Does anyone know where i could find subtitles for "Beyaz melek"?
that's the biggest problem: when i find a film, i can't find subtitles, when i find subtitles, the film is nowhere to be found

Yazgı (directed by Zeki Demirkubuz) is one of the best Turkish movies I've seen lately.

Yes...It's a new movie. (Now playing in cinemas.) Maybe you'll have to wait for subtitles...

i've seen "Yazgi". hm. wasn't impressed. Somehow it's TOO similar to what A. Camus had written (i know, i know that the film's "inspired" by that book but somehow it seems that there was no ispiration - pure copying).

Everybody has his/her own tastes but I don't think it was pure copying...I read the book loooong time ago, so I don't remember anything about it, but actually director tells the differences of the book and movie on DVD extras.

I ve seen a lot of Turkish movies this past year cunku Turkce ogreniyorum . I ve noticed that Mutluluk has not been mentioned and i found that one of my favourite Turksish movies. Beautiful soundtrack and good acting.
I also loved Eskiya, Babam ve oglum and Takva.

I saw Mutluluk today. I recommend it too. Beautiful. The leading actors let me a good impression and the quality of the filming its not inferior to US movies, by contrary.

I saw Gegen die Wand, Recep Ivedik and Kabadayı recently.
All three worth watching, especially the first one.
