A great song. I have read a little of its history.

I think my brain hiccupped on then, denn, dann, because it sounds similar.

"und will mich auch nimmer mit Grillen mehr plagen" was a very tough one to figure out for me. A lot of page turning for that one, fortunately I have good dictionaries and grammar books if I use them right.
