Default Φοβερή & Ποια θυσία - Γιώργος Μαζωνάκης *

Back again! Already tired of me and Γιώργος Μαζωνάκης? Συγνώμη!!!!

    Φοβερή( Gorgeous?)

    Είσ' επικίνδυνη όταν έξω τριγυρίζεις
όλον το κόσμο κάνεις να παραμιλά
όπου κι αν πάς τα βλέμματα όλων μαγνητίζεις
αφού στο 'χω, αφού στο 'χω, στο 'χω ξαναπεί

Είσαι φοβερή σ' αγαπώ πολύ (You're gorgeous, I love you much?)
κλαίω και πονώ (I cry and I suffer?)

    Foveri means terrible I think...
    "Ποιος ταξιδεύει στα μάτια σου;
    Και ποιός ξαγρυπνά στο κορμί σου;
Μάτια μπλε στα μεγάλα ταξίδια σου
Θα'μαι εδώ θα'μαι πάντα μαζί σου"

In a good way or in a bad way? Cause it could be: terrible-unbelievable, or terrible- horrible! So, what would the correct meaning be?

You are both SO excellent !!! ... ... You make me extremely happy to see this kind of conversation going on ... !!! ...

omorfi mou, as usual VERY correct ... !!!
dya mou, as usual VERY good question !!!

The word actually means both, though in every day "Greek-talk" (especially in modern song's LIKE MAZONAKI'S for example !!!), the word is used with its "terrible-unbelievable, great" connotation ...

Thank you! So, in a "street" language it is close to gorgeus!

Yeah, yeah, yeah, keep writting his name in capitals when you have the chance!

In Greek, "YIATI" is the word for both "WHY?" AND "BECAUSE" ... you can tell the difference, by the presense or absense of a question mark. In Greek, the question mark is (, and not (?). You probably know this already but I thought it better to mention it.

NOW ... Need a break to eat my food before it gets cold and I will finish this up ... promise ... !

    Ευχαριστώ πολύ!!!!

"σπίτια κλείνεις" is a fixed expression? Meaning "family breaker"?
And κλείνεις means literally "you close" like in you close the door/book/eyes? And its infinitive/1st person sg is ...κλείνω ...? (wild guess)

Seriously, "pas ya nanni", is not the kind of thing you learn at "school", or "lessons in Greek" ... !!! ...

I am guessing Greek "kamakia" tought you THAT !!! ... lol ...
I am too scared to even think what else you might have "learned" from them !!! ... lol ...

No, it was no kamakia learning me that, lol. I pick up some phrases from my Greek internet friends They are all great! I doubt they think I will remember things they say, but I do.

It's probably a "poem" from a "kamaki" like Mazonakis !!! hahahaha

Seriously, where did you get that from ?!
