Finns are more like the french: even for common word like computer they have their own "creation" like "tietokone", but laptop seems still to be a laptop, if I am not mistaken How are studies going?

Gustaw, when do you start to study finnish? Right now or later on?

Right now I concentrate on slavic and turkish music, as I have a vast spanis, italian and french repertoire; understanding texts makes it a lot easier to learn by heart, so I'll be back with more questions and read your wonderful explanations of the polish mothertongue (gasp)

Might also be interesting for you to have a listen in to popular finnish bands and singers such as Yö, Yölintu (Nightbird that means), Jenni Vartiainen and /or Anna Puu. Heavy metal from Finland is worldfamous, if you're interested:let me know.
