Topgear song.

Hey,

Heres the video YouTube - Bmw M3 vs Audi S4

Maybe a little bit long but i hope its good enough. Jeremy is comparing the 2 cars by using songs. What i need is the name of the song/artist etc. for the Audi S4 (red car). He says Sade but i dont think it is. There are two versions of this video and one of them has "Smooth Operator" by Sade in it, this version does not. So i assume they left his comment but changed the song? Could still be Sade but i doubt it.

If anyone can help would appreciate it.

I don't know who it is but the lyrics I could figure out are:
"I don't care what others say,
I'm gonna love you anyway,
Don't take my baby away,
I'm a fool for you."

In Google I found someone else (maybe you?) searching for these lyrics with no success. I'm guessing Sade's record company (Sony) wouldn't let Top Gear use the song in exported versions of the program. Judging from the lyrics the song might be called "Fool for you".

Thanks for the help. Ive watched the thing loads of times trying to get the lyrics and then online lyrics searches but no luck yet. Im in the UK and when the show was on tv (twice) it was this song. But another vid on youtube has sade as i mentioned.

Shame you can only catch samples of the song but i hope its enough.

Alright...I've been looking EVERYWHERE for months...and just as I was about to give up on it, I came across this information. Here is what someone else had said on another site:

"Could someone with an extreme.com membership find out what the track is when Clarkson is driving the S4?
Its not the Sade version of the episode, its the one that was aired on the UKTV/BBC Prime and the song is sung by a female RnB vocalist with the lyric:

"I don't care what others say, I'm gonna love you anyway, aint gonna take my baby away.."

Its a great track, I've tried everywhere but not had any success yet

It's aparently a song that is only out for company use and for television. Not a "real" song. The original music was replaced with production music for copyright reasons (usually from the Extreme Music library). So both the R&B music and the techno beat that you hear are something from the Extreme library. The original BBC2 broadcast contained the intended music during this segment: Sade - Smooth Operator & Underworld - Born Slippy. That's why the subtitles say Sade when it is not that artist.

I hope this helps you out...unfortunately you might not be able to get the song, but at least you know now what it is.

You can go to ExtremeMusic.com - Class A Production Music Library - A Site For Sore Ears

Then on the bottom of the screen, click on "Get Trax". Click on the "X-Series" button on the top, then look for album number 82. The song is number 8 on that album. You can then press play to hear it and/or download it if you're a member.
