Me and my mum have been trying to identify this song to no avail for days!
We have tried absolutely everything ! Any help to end this puzzling agony would be greatly appreciated.
We heard the song on a British tv series called 'Teachers'.
The episode aired in April 2001.
It's actually on YouTube here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0dT1gHfStA (song starts 32 minutes in).
It has a sort of soul sound to it. The first portion of the song (verse and chorus) is sung by a man, and then a woman takes over.
The lyrics are as follows:
There's something I have to say
You're driving my heart away
Just pushing me aimlessly
When darling it's plain to see
Beside you girl is where I belong
Cause you've got it
Goin' On
I can’t get by
and I can’t go on
cause your eyes meet mine
and i’m going, going, gone,
i’m nothing without you
from the moment we met ...
and so on.
We can't believe search engines are throwing up nothing!
Is anyone able to enlighten us?
