After graduating from college and obtaining my degree in nursing, I plan to work in a hospital tending after the debilitated and injured as a registered nurse practitioner. Since I was young, I have wanted to help other people. What really jumpstarted my desire to be a nurse was a visit to the Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville, Georgia. The nurses were very nice and treated me with respect. I want to give that same treatment to other people.
I aspire to work in an emergency room because I have always been quick to react and make decisions. I want to use my astute decision-making ability to make an impact in the way hospitals perform. I want to be a part of something larger than what I am. I believe that I can help others with the training that I will receive in college and make the world a better place.
After working in an emergency room for a few years, I want to work in neonatal healthcare. I have always loved children, and for awhile I wanted to run a daycare center. The experience I will obtain in the emergency room will prepare me for the decisions I will have to make with newborns and infants. I want to be able to supply an increased level of proper care to newborns while helping educate the succeeding generation of nurses, which is actually a problem today, nevertheless a wonderful reward in by itself.
I also want to aid in obstetrician gynecology, helping children and parents before and during childbirth. By helping the child while it is still inside the womb by giving prenatal vitamins, encouraging healthy exercise, et cetera, I will be able to prevent numerous health problems the child might conduct without doing so. I want be able to do everything in my power to ensure a safe and healthy childbirth.
While being a RNP, I will work in an ER helping patients. Afterward, I will work with newborns and mothers in order to promote a healthy life for them all. I will attain all of this from the education I will receive in college.
