    Default Loving You

    Four months, and twenty days,
    Not that I’m counting,
    It’s just my crazy way,
There’s a secret, deep within me,
    But you know it, boy,
It’s not that hard to see,

‘Cause when you take me in your arms,
    I die a little more,
So to even up the score,
I show you just what I can do,
    Baby, that’ll be loving you,

Just one smile lights up my world,
    All that I need,
    Is to be your girl,
When the train’s late and rain pours,
    I know you’re waiting,
    Waiting by the door,

‘Cause when you take me in your arms,
    I die a little more,
So to even up the score,
I show you just what I can do,
    Baby, that’ll be loving you,

You never let me down, (let me cry)
The world’s so much better when you come around,
I can’t find the words to say, (though I try)
The way I feel round you every day,
    So don’t ever go away...

‘Cause when you take me in your arms,
    I die a little more,
So to even up the score,
I show you just what I can do,
    Baby, that’ll be loving you,
"If you were me, then I'd be you, and if I were you, I'd hide somewhere faraway..."

It's not often that I feel moved by the lyrics of a happy song, but you've done it I love it, it works, it's a message and it's wonderful. You really connect with the person on certain lines like "Not that I'm counting", it's great

Thanks I'm afraid there's no tune. I never have a tune... sigh... I'm no musician :/

Hey, songwriting's hard, but you've managed to make something excellent Just give people the words and they'll get a tune in their head on their own (yay).

I started writing a tune, so if anyone asks tell them it's in F major and the first three chords are F major, C major and B flat major. Then hopefully they'll be distracted enough for you to make your getaway!

I hope so. As I was once told 'the art of interpretation is not to play what's written'
