Post The Other Side Of The Night

    Typing on an iPad.

I only uploaded this because...I don't actually know...
Another part of my writers block stage.
Someone told me I try too hard to make things rhyme, so I tried and this jumble came out:

The Other Side Of The Night - Copyright © RobberBaron Enterprises 2011

    [Verse]

Can you take me to a world,
On the other side of the night,
    Where the heroes pay,
    And the devils prey

I wanna see the whole world,
    When it's upside down,
Cos the only way to win,
Is for your heart to give in

    [Pre-Chorus]

    Gotta make your mind up,
    Who are you gonna be?
    I guess our times up,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, our times up

    [Chorus]

Brinking on the edge of disaster,
Just hoping that our time will go faster,
But the serpent said to me,
Yeah the serpent said to me,
That sometimes you just gotta believe

Waiting for my turn to go further,
But feeling like I've lost control,
Why don't you kill me, oh please,
Yeah yeah, drop down on my knees,
Cos you've already taken my soul

Hm. Your rhyming is just fine on here and I found a very sweet melody to your song. Very nice!!! Shadow LikesLots!
Lol you have an iPad too huh? Awesome, that's how I run my user on here. All pure ipadness good work the beginning is what really wanted me to read the song n once I wanted to read more it already ended lmao.

    Is it finished?

No, I often don't know what to do for versus after the chorus. Maybe I should write them all first, that would work.
My family wanted to watch a movie and my computer is in the movie watching room, so it took ages typing out from my notebook on an iPad

The reason why some parts are really weird is that I was imagining a chord sequence in my head and I was actually imagining someone playing at, and that someone got a little crazy and went over the top. Still, there are lots of songs with lyrics like this that when you hear them as songs you think they're fine, but if you wrote out the lyrics it would look very odd

By the way, I'd like to hear the sweet melody you mentioned if it's convenient

(I'm not sure how to do any other smilies that are appropriate to the conversation so instead I will just overkill this one )
