Default Keti Homata - Na dioxo ta sinnefa

    Hello everybody,

I need some help with the translation of this beautiful, tender Greek song performed by Keti Homata. Thank you very much!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f474gX4dY4A

    Night's hours are flowing
    Rain takes away my sleep
    I fear storms have begun
    and I'm left alone

I want to get rid of the clouds
    become the wind
    to glow in your path
    I'll become a star

    and if still at night
    it brings me more pain
    I'll stay on your road
    to become fire

To get rid of the clouds...

    Wind hits the door
The house is burdened with silence
I'm looking for the glow of the day
    I'm looking for your voice

To get rid of the clouds... (2)

    Night's hours are flowing
    Rain takes away my sleep
I worry you're lost in foreign countries
that you've been burdened with foreign pains
I worry you're lost in foreign countries
that you've been burdened with foreign pains

To get rid of the clouds... (2)

Little side-note: As you may have gathered "Να διωξω τα συννεφα" can be translated "I want to get rid of the clouds" (you're basically just omiting the word "I want"), or "to get rid of the clouds", depending on the context. It's generally ambigious, which works in Greek. It's hard to translate. Faced a similar problem with "Η πορτα για τον ουρανο" by Elena Paparizou. "Μεσα να 'ρθω, αγγελε μου". Now do you translate the "to come in, my angel" or "I want to come in, my angel" when it besically means both?
