Yosis, the reason why safe1 can't translate the lyrics differently is the reason she/he has already given-they don't make any sense in the Greek language!. Imagine someone asking about translations of Hebrew lyrics which contain expressions that are never used in Hebrew speech! I'll try to give you a slightly different translation and you will see what I mean...
Η σκιά σου τριγυρνάει στο ...... το μυαλό
Your shadow is wandering in....the brain
και ας πίνω μεθυσμένος
even though I'm drinking while drunk
Αν δεν σ' αγαπάω πώς
If I don't love you how
όταν με πονάει για σένα
"when it hurts me for you"-the correct construction is "μου πονάει", for example "μου πονάει το κεφάλι" ("I have a head ache"). "Με πονάς" means "you hurt me", but it is never used together with "για σένα", which only means "for you", "for your sake"
μα κρατάει το λαιμό μου, η ανάμνηση γι αυτό
Again, such a phrase does not exist in the Greek language. I suppose it means something like "but the memory of that is holding me by the throat".
These "Greek" lyrics are obviously written by someone who doesn't speak or know the Greek language, so you really can't expect them to mean anything to a Greek speaker. Therefore there is no English translation that will be better than the translation already given by safe1.
Best, Eva
i think it is: Η σκιά σου τριγυρνάει στο άρρωστο μου το μυαλό... if angelxirina doesn't understand smth else hehehe
honestly, i listened to that song for at least 10 times but i have no idea what he says. i only hear στο στο μου το μυαλό so i'm afraid i can't help this time. maybe it's not even a word what he says as it's obvious that the one who wrote the lyrics doesn't know greek well.![]()
