Default Hanka Paldum - Mojoj majci (BS > EN)

Inspite of my love for Bulgarian music and language for the last months I've discovered more and more one or more "new" music styles for me. Probably many of those songs very religious. Anyway - I love them very much. Most of them seem to be Bosnian. I'd like to ask for translation into English at least for this unbelievable beautiful song, performed by cherished Hanka Paldum

    Da je meni ove noci
    tebe sanjati, majko
    da mi hoces mila moja
    na san doci ti

    Da me utjesis
    da me ohrabris
    valja meni na ovom svijetu
    sama ostati
    (2x)

    Ruza tvoja njegovana
    sama ostala, majko
    otkad si je napustila
    nije cvijetala

    Ja sam kao ti
    sve cu podnijeti
    valja meni na ovom svijetu
    sama ostati
    (2x)

    Kako ti je vilo moja
    dal' mi cujes glas, majko
u te dvore ja bih posla
    nije vrijeme sad

Thank you for requesting this song.

    Mojoj majci- For my mother

Da je meni ove noci // Allow me tonight
tebe sanjati, majko // to dream of you, Mother
da mi hoces mila moja // That, my sweet, you
na san doci ti // come to me in a dream

Da me utjesis // That you comfort me
da me ohrabris // That you give me strength/courage
valja meni na ovom svijetu // In this world, it's necessary for me
sama ostati // to remain alone
    (2x)

Ruza tvoja njegovana // Your beloved rose
sama ostala, majko // remained alone, Mother
otkad si je napustila // From the time you went away
nije cvijetala // (the rose) has not blossomed

Ja sam kao ti // I'm like you
sve cu podnijeti // I'll bear everything
valja meni na ovom svijetu // In this world, it's right for me
sama ostati // to remain on my own
    (2x)

Kako ti je vilo moja // How is it for you, my fairy
dal' mi cujes glas, majko // Do you hear my voice, Mother?
u te dvore ja bih posla // I'd go into that palace (where her mother is, heaven most likely)
nije vrijeme sad // (but) it's not (my) time now

    P.S. Bosnian...good for you!

You're very welcome. I might not be able to do it right now, but feel free to post your request and I or someone else will try to get to it as soon as possible.

I'm very happy about your offer. Anyway I've to search the lyrics first. If I've got them I'll post one ore two other songs of Hanka Paldum. Thanks a lot for your help!

I searched for the lyrics of "Hanka Paldum - Moj golube" (YouTube) and found a translation (for the very similar version by Jordan Nikolic at http://lyricstranslate.com/de/Oj-gol...my-pigeon.html).

My third - and very very beloved - song by Hanka is "Oj djevojko Stambolijo" (YouTube), but unfortunately I couldn't find any lyrics for this beautiful song. So this was my first and only Hanka-request for now

Thanks again for your kind help!

I can't listen to your link right now, but maybe these are the lyrics? (As the song is regarding Istanbul, I could only find them on a Turkish website! )

    Oj djevojko Stambolijo,
    Stambol ti je sagorio.

    Stambol ti je sagorio,
    Dragi ti se razbolio.

    Stambol ti je sagorio,
    Dragi ti se razbolio.

    Nek' boluje, neka umre,
    Neću mu se porušiti.

    Neću mu se porušiti,
    Neg' ću otić' kod Mehmeda.

    Neću mu se porušiti,
    Neg' ću otić' kod Mehmeda.

    Kod Mehmeda kujundžije,
    Koji kuje sakaluke.

    Koji kuje sakaluke,
    I na ruke belenzuke.

    Koji kuje sakaluke,
    I na ruke belenzuke.
