If I was Shakespeare I'd simply write you a sonnet
Bogart I would simply light your cigarrette
James Bond I'd serve you martini's in a tuxedo
Rhett Butler I would say I don't give a damn
But I'm just a simple man
With just a simple plan
And I know exactly what to do
I'll simply say that I love you
Of course I could hire a thousand Sherpas
And carve Everest into a likeness of you
Or channel George Baily and have a wonderful life
Lasooing you a thousand moons
Try and give you lightening without rain
Turn lakes into champagne
But I'm just a simple man
With just a simple plan
Some people say I should think outside the box
But that would only box me in
Cary Grant could'nt stay Gary Grant forever
And "you complete me" is cliche in the end
Its not a rubic's cube
Even Einstein said it to
I'm just a simple man
With just a simple plan
And I know exactly what to do
I'll simply say that I love you

This is cool. It reads a lot like "Object Writing" which to me is very good. Those sometimes make the best songs. You have some very good lyrics here. Very original. Darn good job!

Very nice playing with your words.
Good imagination, and you stretched it pretty well.
I agree, very original, and it's pretty cool.
