I need help finding a song for a show. The song will be used as an opening number and need to start soft and slow and break into a dance beat.
In the past I've used "One Night Only" the Dream Girls movie version, so something like that would be ideal.

The song needs to be well known so most people will recognize it, again it needs to start off like a ballad and then build to a good dance beat. Oh and it has to be clean, now swearing or talk about sex.

Can anyone help?

As for a song, I really can't think of anything off the top of my head except Gloria Estefan's Cuts Both Ways.

Not trying to target you or anything, I just don't want your post to be removed for one. I will try to look for you for a song as well. Really right now that was the only song I can come up with. Other songs I have in mind simply consist of maybe a volume change and not the change you are looking for.

Great one, Irene Cara's Flashdance is a great choice, and one that slipped my mind.
