Every place seems thick with fog
Every destination is not near
I hold my hand out for direction
But things remain unclear
The grass grows greener there
At least that's what I hear
Goodbye old future
Good day old past
I see the empty warehouse
And I long to be there
Am stuck on a crowded train
And I've already paid my fare
It's a fallacy it's moving forward
It's driving me to despair
Goodbye old future
Good day old past
I've turned deaf to the tarmac melody
Where the crowds still rule
Over the two delusional buildings
That stand so tall
I've no need to search for proof
It turned me to a fool
Goodbye old future
Good day old past
The glass is empty now
And I am feeling drenched
And it didn't have courtesy
To leave my thirst quenched
I'm leaving this behind
To go where I'll be unfenced
Goodbye old future
Good day old past
The leaves are turning brown
And the forrest is in touch
And there has been nothing
I've wanted so much
To have all my dreams
Still within my clutch
Goodbye old future
Good day old past
I must now leave the train
And I must start anew
And though the world has lied
It can still be true
In this simple hesitation
You manage to undo
Goodbye old future
Good day old past
Any feedback would be helpful

You got a natural gift for writing, don't let anybody tell you different.Your style is unnique and yours alone.Usually, when I see Lyrics that aren't strictly "rhyming" I tend to read them fast or skip over them. These words really "got"me!Execellent work,if I do say so myself! It's,to me,Neil Youngish, and it don't get much better than that!
