    Default Greenback

The melody is sort of a Black Stone Cherry and Pink Floyd fusion.

    (Vs)
He's searching rainbows but comes up empty
on either side of the spectrums end
The fountain of youth long ago went dry
Eyes of crows feet run from him

    (Ch)
    He needs some greenback
    to escape the flies
    Yea he's begging for greenback
    with hungry eyes
    He might be off track
    but he still tries
    He's lookin for greenback
    to buy blue skies

    (Vs)
He longs for rib eye with a porridge bowl
a kinder karma that isn't blind
His dim shadow slips through ancient cracks
He's running out of atoms and time

    (Ch)
    He needs some greenback
    to escape the flies
    Yea he's begging for greenback
    with hungry eyes
    He might be off track
    but he still tries
    He's lookin for greenback
    to buy blue skies

    (Interlude)
So tired of being a park bench cushion
    Fantasizes a Posturepedic dream

    (Ch)
    He needs some greenback
    to escape the flies
    Yea he's begging for greenback
    with hungry eyes
    He might be off track
    but he still tries
    He's lookin for greenback
    to buy blue skies

Browsing through some old threads I came upon this one. What a beautiful lyric! I like the compassionate feeling that speaks from it.My favorite line: 'He's running out of atoms and time'.
