Do I need to change the lyrics to make a ready sad song to happy one?

Hi,

I Have a song that I like (the first one I wrote in English) and like my all song it's some how turn to be sad.

So, I decide to take the same song and make it happy bay changing the music and the why I sing.

So, My equation is Do you think the lyrics have effect on if a song is happy or sad?

FOR Example - "Help" of the Beatles is I think a happy song with very sad lyrics...think about

Yea I remember this, the video, i commented on it somewhere else before.....

I'm just gonna say now that maybe you should just write another song (a happy one) because this one already has a 'life' and maybe it's better to move on......stretch your wings a little more by writing something different?
