    Default Memories That We Had

I've been listening to a lot of 'Gaslight Anthem' lately, this song (to me) sounds similar to some of their stuff. Hope you like it

I met a girl, she told me some stories
It made me think whats really important
I live my life from sunrise to sunset
I wouldnt if we never had met

    Time's running out
    I'm running away
    From the desert

    We'll talk all night
    About memories that we had
    When we were young
And times didnt seem so bad
    We all get old
But I was always old from the start
And I think happiness is a dying art

I spent some time travelling around
Wondering if I'll ever get out
    Simple life must get boring
But in my head I cant ignore it

    Time's running out
    I'm running away
    From the desert

    We'll talk all night
    About memories that we had
    When we were young
And times didnt seem so bad
    We all get old
But I was always old from the start
And I think happiness is a dying art

    Time's running out
    I'm running away
    Time's running out
    I'm running away
    From the desert

    We'll talk all night
    About memories that we had
    When we were young
And times didnt seem so bad
    We all get old
But I was always old from the start
And I think happiness is a dying art
I think happiness is a dying art

Having just read it through again, the only thing I would possibly change is the 6th line of the chorus. Instead of 'But I was always old from the start', change it to 'But I've always been old from the start'?

Opinions, as always, are greatly received

    Thanks,
    Kieran

I think happiness is a dying art, too.
