I Wanted to love you
I wanted to share my life
All I ever wanted
Was to be your wife
But it never seemed
to be quite enough
And I couldn't live
With a man I couldn't trust
You showed me
What it was
to feel heartache and pain
You showed me
what it was
to cry tears down like rain
Now the days slip away
They've turned into months
It's been almost a year
Since you walked out on us

You Showed Me

Hi! Again these lyrics are very good! Again very powerful with a clear message, I like them also anybody, again whether they've experienced it or not, can relate to these lyrics because they're so vividly clear, you can feel what you feel! The only thing that I am unsure about is the end, I'm not sure if it ends a bit too abruptly, like you maybe want a some sort of explanation, or closure. It just seems to end too quick, but then that could just be me!
Do you serve a purpose or purposely serve? -
yes i agree with spudmunky my idea would be to repeat the first verse at the end to sort of round the whole song off, just a thought like it though

Thank you I'm glad you like it- and it means alot to me that other people can feel my emotions in my words. As far as rounding it off the middle verse (the chorus) repeats at the end- ending the song. what do you think of that way? I actually had this one recorded in Nashville it turned out sounding pretty good.
