    some of the lyrics

    it was a hot afternoon, last day of june and the sun was a demon.
    The clouds were afraid, 110 in the shade and the pavements were steaming

    Funny...I found a couple songs that have those lyrics. One was written and sung by Bobby Goldsboro (of 1960's fame). It was remade by Bette Midler. It was titled "Summer (the first time)". I also found a song called "Night By The Sea" by Tangawarra that had same lyrics. Not sure which one you were looking for. Hope this helps!!

    The song you're looking for is Summer (the first time) by Bobby Goldsboro.

    If you're looking for a song, it's usually pretty easy to find! Just typ a few words of the lyrics in a search engine and the song pops out, but this only works if you let the search engine look for the exact phrase at advanced search.
