As far as I know Metaxa is written Μεταξά. Its name come from Spyros Metaxas till 1888. It had won a lot of rewards and it's known as The Greek Spirit. It's an awesome drink I love it
I guess cheers in greek it's : Yiamas
Πάρε φιλιά, πάρε καρδιά και μη νοιαστείς για μένα.
Πάρε ό,τι ζει κι άσε με εκεί
    μόνο στο τίποτα...

It depends on how many people you say "cheers" to.

If you say "cheers" to your friend, you can say "stin ygeia sou" ("стин ия су" - the "g" is barely pronounced, it's a palatal approximant), or just "geia sou" ("я су"). This means literally "to your health" ("за твое здраве").
If you're in company, you can say "stin ygeia mas" ("стин ия мас") - "to our health" ("за наше здраве") or simply "geia mas" ("я мас").
Or "geia sas" ("я сас" - "за ваше здраве").

We also say εις υγείαν, but this is more formal. When we are with our friends we normally say γεια μας or στην υγειά μας.
Άνθρωποι τύχης είδωλον επλάσαντο, πρόφασιν ιδίης αβουλίης.
