    Cool This is driving me crazy

    So I heard a song on my local university radio station last week and it has been stuck in my head ever since.
    I sent the music director the line I know, but even she can't get the song title/band name for me!
    It's like garage/rock/pop, male singer, the chorus goes "I couldn't believe what she said to me".
    Nothing comes up on google at all.
    Please help!

    It's not such a... scary dark song! lol.
    It's almost Stooges meet the Strokes with a little British invasion thrown in.
