    Default It's a Very Old Song!!!!!!!!!!! 50's or 60's

The song is called "Το τελευταίο ποτηράκι". It's a Very Old Song!!!!!!!!!!!
    Lyrics by = Christo Kolokotronis
Composed by = Manoli Chiotis (A tremendous bouzouki player!)
1st version by Manoli Chioti and Mary Linda

NOTE: There are innumerable versions of the song, so i can't imagine the one you've heard! The last good version of the song has been relished by Manoli Lidakis.
"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping"

My dya you can see the composer at this link giving a bouzouki performance...

It's not the song that mentioned above but you can imagine if the original version is close enough to danti's....

Please read the comments to the youtube's window!!!!

That is precisely why I asked! Because, after seeing Dantis' performance and keeping in mind what you said about the song being from the 50's or 60's, I had a bit of a ...shock!! LOL!

I found on youtube a few videos with Chiotis and Linda( among them the songs from your link but in separate videos) and I could see no connection between this style and what Dantis was... well...singing! And I was curious if that particular song Trikala was looking for was something different from the style I saw in the other videos. Κατάλαωα τώρα! Ευχαριστώ!

    Default A matter of generation

Well let me put it this way.... "It's a matter of generation".
I wouldn't be surprised if many younger people like Acropolis with a modern roof over it....
I simply like Akropolis as it is....
