Does anyone know the Greek lyrics to this? I have learned to play it, but I can't make out all of the words -- they are just singing too fast for me..

I just watched Stelios Vamvarakis sing the song on a Youtube video, and here, it is called: 'O Márkos Ypourgós'. I know the song has the name Venizelos in it a few times.

You're right he is saying Venizelos! I watch the video and I corrected the lyrics. The first strophe was missing...

I think I've got this figured out now! The first lyrics you sent me are on the old recording by the father, Markos Vamvakaris. The added lyrics (i.e. the first stanzas sung in the Youtube video) are sung by the son, Stelios. I wonder if the ones that Stelios sings were written by him.

But, it doesn't matter. I just wanted to let you know, although you have probably already figured this out! And now, I can sing while I play it..
