Fond Farewell


People taken for granted
leads to feelings being demanded
there's still a few things that i think i have to say
but no fickle appology
is gonna come shooting out of me
when its my turn to go my seperate way

it seems we've finally reached the end
my oh-so faithful broken friend
i guess there's nothing i can say to ease the pain
with one despondant look
you give back everything you took
i really hope that we can meet again.

So as we say our fond farewell
i'm left to stare into your eyes
now there's tears all around us,
i guess its no real surprise
we said we'd stay in touch
but i know i won't see you much
i thought i'd say, i love you now.

because we let time escape
now i'm falling out of shape
the words i say, can never mean enough
i wish every simple thing i'd do
could take the breath from out of you
cause pleasing you proves to be far too tough

we're buying time we'll never spend
with the ignorance that i pretend
but it can't save me, from the future that i see
so if you'll heal this broken soul
give back the heart that you have stole
bringing the tenderness, the fortune back to me

for every peice of me that wants you,
my head says no and backs away
so all the fond farewells in this world
couldn't help me through today
i just thought you should know
i thought i'd tell you before you go
i need to say, i love you now
