    here are the lyrics

    η παλιοπαρέα
    και ο μπαγλαμάς.

    - Πάρε ένα τσιγάρο
    - Δώσε μου φωτιά
    - Πώς τα πας, Αλέκο;
    - ʼς τα, ρε Κοσμά
    - Δεν βαριέσαι, φίλε
    πιες ένα κρασί
    σκάρτη πάντα θα 'ναι
    η παλιοζωή.

    and the old friends
    and baglamas

    - take a cigarette
    - give me the light
    - how is things going, Alekos?
    - leave them, vre Kosma.
    - dont you get tired of it all, have a (glass of) wine my friend life will always be a mess.

i wouldnt call it traditional turkish. . . purely because we may offend someone without intending to do so... lets just say the balkan/arabic/turkish etc instrument.. its a part of our music... But i guess the name comes from turkish

The instrument is also originated from Turkey, used in Middle-Near East, Greece, Balkans etc like you said, our region.
