Do You Believe?

How come when he looks at her
All as he sees is something that died inside
How come when he looks at her smile, it's never there
And they walk past and they don't care
But he wants to care
But he can't get past her piercing stare

So she fell in love with him
Cause she thought he was the only one that could care
But secretly he didn't care

When they turned twenty-two
He saw a beautiful girl
And he felt something new
They fell in love, and she didn't know

Then one day she realized
That he had fallen in love
With another girl
And she thought that no one else could care
She was down in despair
One month later, she went to the park
Where he first proposed to her
And she pulled out a gun
And ended her life, along with her son's

How come she never knew that God was there
Holding her hand, cause
He cared for her and she didn't know
But now it's too late
Cause all she was wanting
Was for him to tell her that he was in love with her
How could she not see
That God loved her more than he ever would
But now it's too late

Now she's in Hell
But her son's with God
And they're talking about how they both loved his mother
How come she couldn't see
That all God wanted was for her to believe in Him
And trust Him
But she didn't care about anything but him
Cause she thought he was the only one that could care
But he didn't care
Only God cared
So why couldn't she see that God loved her
With everything left in Him?
But now she's gone
Why do we have to avoid the question
When God asks us do we believe
But we turn our attention to other things
If only she would of seen that God loved her
Then she would be with Him now
But she couldn't see that anyone could ever love her
But now I guess it doesn't matter
