The Sun was in his bathing suit. The Moon in her pajamas.
Sunce je bilo obučeno u kupaći kostim, mesec u pidžame.
They played all day until the two were called in by their mamas.
Igrali se po celog dana dok mame nisu ih pozvali kući.
The Sun went home and climbed in bed. His mama sang a tune.
Sunce je otišlo kući u krevet. Mama mu je otpevala uspavanku.
And soon the Sun was fast asleep and dreaming of the Moon.
I uskoro Sunce je zaspalo i sanjalo Meseca.

The Moon decided not to go. Instead she stayed outside.
Mesec je odlučio de ne ide, i ostao je u napolju.
She danced and played and laughed and sang, til she was sleepy-eyed.
Plesao je, igrao se, smejao se, i pevao dok nije bio pospan


When morning came, the Sun arose and went outside to play.
Kada je došlo jutro, Sunce je ostalo i izišao da se igra
But could not find his friend, the Moon, who slept inside all day.
Ali nije našlo druga, Meseca, koji po celog dana je spavao unutru.
So now these two are best of friends apart by dark and light.
No, sada ove dvoje su najbolji prijatelji, mrak i svetlost ih razdvaju
The Sun turns in at evenfall. The Moon comes out at night.
Sunce zaspa u suton. Mesec otide noću.


The shining Moon sees no sunlight. The Sun sees no moonbeams.
Sjajan Mesec ne vidi sunčevu svetlost. Sunce ne vidi mesečinu.
But when they both are fast asleep, they're in each other's dreams
Ali kada oboje spavaju, uvek se sanjaju.
