mit mit geschehen, als ich Dich gesehen, // happened with me when I saw you
Du in jener Nacht, den Schein hast entfacht. // in this particular night, you sparked the glow/light (in me)


Die Sonne, die Sterne tragen Kunde von Dir, // The sun, the stars bring news of you
jeder Lufthauch erzählt mir von Dir, // every waft of air tells me of you
jeder Atemzug, jeder Schritt, // every breathe I take, every step I do
trägt Deinen Namen weit mit sich mit... // carries your name with it...(for a long time)

die dich umgarnen wie silbernes Licht. // that surround you like a silvery light
Ich schriebe von Liebe, von Nähe und Hoffnung, // I'd write of love, of closeness and of hope
