    Mother Lode

Too big to ignore, too big to control.
Across our country the lie is told.
See the snow-blind children walking down the road.
It's a crooked path to the mother lode.

    This abusive, illusive enterprise
leads it's target market to advertise.
All your silver and all of your gold
buys a little rock candy from the mother lode.

    (short music break)

A glittering vein that has no end.
Trails to nowhere and back again.
    Daylight swears you're in control.
But darkness cries to the mother lode.

A brother, a sister, a life long friend.
Caught in the rush of this deadly wind.
Upon their body, mind and soul
a claim was staked by the mother lode

    (verse long music break)

Unlikely task but we all know.
Stop the source and you stop the flow.
Vengeance for every life it stole
lies in the destruction of the mother lode.

Hey, I really like the song. I like the lack of the verse/chorus/bridge kind of structure and some of the lines are brilliant. It's quite like a poem, but that's not a criticism in my eyes. My favourite bit is the last verse.
    Keep up the good work!
