Default Ljuba Aličić - S prvom kisom

Even though this song wasn't requested, I cannot sleep this morning, so I thought I'd translate this song to English

S prvom kisom With the first rain

Opet prazna dusa, opet prazan stan
Again an empty soul, again an empty apartment
na radiu kazu bice kisan dan
On the radio they say it'll be a rainy day
    a kad vidim sive oblake
But when I see grey clouds
    odmah cujem tvoje korake
    I immediately hear your footsteps
a tudja si davno, ja to dobro znam
But you were that way long ago, I know that well

    Ref.
    (Chorus)
S prvom kisom mislim na nas dvoje
With the first rain I think of us both
    kao nekad ostavljen i sam
Like some time ago abandoned and alone
    opet krisom brisem suze svoje
Again secretly I wipe away my tears
da ne vidi niko kako sam
So that no one sees how I am

S prvom kisom mislim na nas dvoje
With the first rain I think of us both
    ponavlja se isto kao pre
It repeats itself the same as before
al' sta vredi, kako stvari stoje
But what's it worth, how things stand?
    za mene tek jesen pocinje
For me fall is just beginning

Opet ista prica, opet lazan smeh
Again the same story, again a fake laugh
ko i svaku jesen, cinim isti greh
Like every fall, it seems to me like the same sin
    nasu sliku, moja jedina
    Our picture, my only one
    gledam uz dva pica jeftina
I look along with two cheap drinks
ubedjujem sebe, to je pravi lek
I convince myself, that's real medicine

    Ref. 2x
    Chorus x2

    A very nice translation Acrylic!!!
I've just got one tiny comment:

a tudja si davno, ja to dobro znam
But you are someone else's for a long time, I know that well

Thank you for that correction! I thought saying tudja would mean "that way", but I stand corrected. Could it mean "that way" in a different context? Or is it always considered "someone else's"?

You're welcome, yes it's 'someone else's', it couldn't mean 'that way' in a different context. 'That way' would be 'takva' in this case.
