I keep only my thorns

They give me and I give back poison

as long they step on me, I step on them

But night changes me
τη νύχτα να 'ρθεις
come in the night
τη νύχτα θα είμαι
in the night I shall be
αυτό που ποθείς
what you long for

Θα είμαι πανάχραντο κρίνο
I shall be an all white (pure) lily
και ήλιος αγάπης ζεστός
and love's warm sun
αυτό που μπορούσα να γίνω
the one I could become
αν ήταν ο κόσμος σωστός
if this world was right

Σήμερα αγάπη μου πάλι
Today, my love, again
με πίκρανες τόσο πολύ
you grieved me so much
τη μέρα η σκληρή βιοπάλη
during the day, the effort to make your living
κι ο αγώνας σε κάνει σκληρή
and the struggle make you harsh
