I would be grateful for help regarding translation of parts of the charming song "Mai vino seara pe la noi, Ionele, draga". Neither the excellent online Romanian-English dictionary, nor any Romanian-English text translator, nor even my wife that speaks rather good Romanian could help me decipher the meaning of those parts of the song. The unintelligible parts of the lyrics are:
In padurea rara, mindra sta-n camara,
Plinge, se omoara, ca Ionel se-nsoara.
comment: maybe "mindra" refers to "mandra", and Plinge to "plange"
In padurea verde, mandra-n poarta sede
comment: In green forest.... but the rest of the line is not clear
In padura deasa, mindra sta si teasa,
Plinge si ofteaza, ca Ionel o lasa.
comment: maybe in thick forest... Ionel is coward... but in the middle again not clear.
I would be indebted for any translation to English, Hebrew or Bulgarian.
