Heard this at J.Crew yesterday. 80's cover song?

I know this song when I hear it, and I had heard it at a friends' house weeks ago and they can't remember. It's driving me crazy.

It sounds like someone with a voice like Tracey Thorn or Tori Amos or Bjork - definitely a female vocalist and it's a cover of an 80's song. I want to say it must be a recent cover if it's playing in the mall but I could be wrong...maybe it's from a soundtrack?

I don't know. I was trying to remember the name of the song at the time and I remember thinking that I knew the chorus coming up. I know I have heard the original song several times. To help myself remember I kept thinking of the word "lean" in the chorus. It's not Lean on Me though before anyone recommends that one.

If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. It's reaaaally bothering me!

Maybe you meant to remember "dream" instead of "lean"?
