Then the sins of the flesh, are the only ones left.
So each time that I leave, I have more to confess.

But I softly dissolve, back out onto the street.

Though each gasp that I took, left a little less there.
But if all that I dreamed, all at once would come true.
It would still just be me lying here, next to you.

I slightly modified the end of the 3rd verse.
Not that big a change, but I think it flows better like this.
