Good morning,
Thank you Karyatis for the beautiful translation, please allow me for a minor, insignificant suggestion: In this sentence…
“Δεν μπορώ να θυμάμαι, μια σκιά να νοσταλγώ
I cannot remember.. to long for a shadow”
“I cannot remember” returns in greek as “δεν μπορώ να θυμηθώ” instead of the original “θυμάμαι”. As such, there is an issue with duration, “θυμάμαι” is continuous, while “θυμηθώ” is instantaneous. An option would be to use present continuous, but ”remember” is a sense verb and technicaly lacks continuous tenses, “remembering” is a nonsense form. The other option is the use of another verb. Out of the list of synonyms for “remember”, I think “recall” just might be a better choice.
Other than that, it’s a nice and melodic song, like all of Chatzigiannis’ songs, but in my eyes, it’s full of contradictions.
Regards,
Alexander
