through the black skies
dawn will break
and the cycle repeats
regeneration of life
archaic process

beautiful night star
luminescent,
light my eyes
reveal the line
where the beginning lies
time of death

the truth stands before me
this death means more
than the life that preceded it
catastrophic precursor
to peace in eternal rest

i feel myself lift
truths revealed
weight of life off of my shoulders
grace lies in the end

we cast our greatest fears
on the one thing that we can always count on
immortality exists for nobody

Dying is an art
yet to be mastered
sever the rope
umbilical cord
feeding struggle
I can breathe for the first time.
