Recently I came across a new song (at least new for me) of Yiannis Ploutarxos, I believe it's called 'Ola itan psemata'...It's just another one of his exceptional songs and, while I do understand parts of it, I would so much like to have the full translation in english. If anyone could give me a hand with it I would greatly appreciate it and give them a big hug(mia megali zesti aggalia)!
i found both of them (lyrics and translation) on stixoi.info so here you go:
I relied and opened myself to you
and I remember you were dreaming a whole life with me
now out from my eyes come the parts of myself
now that I see our love being thrown away
Because everything were lies, thousands lies
your love was just big words
and me that I trusted myself in you
now I am alone
in the sea I gave you
you love is just a spot
They were saying we match, that we look like two dribbles
look how she is behaving against him, how much she loves him
And then without talking you gave me a bitter kiss
and said our relationship is not going somewhere
Because everything were lies, thousands lies
your love was just big words
and me that I trusted myself in you
now I am alone
in the sea I gave you
you love is just a spot
Dear Kmmy,
I thank you so much for your reply! You absolutely made my day. I was so happy when I saw your answer! I am, as you probably figured it out already, a big fan of Greek music and although I speak some Greek too it's not that much. But I keep learning more and through music and great songs and lyrics I feel things can go even faster. My many thanks again for your super fast and kind answer and my sincere congrats for being able to speak this superbe language so well! Great for you and hope to "see" you around again! Have a wonderful week! Kali eudomada gia oloi kai oles!
