I am fascinated by large bodies of water, so I started writing a song about them...so yeah, please tell me what you think.
Imagine piano sounding all flowy and watery in C minor
(verse)
Peering down into the curious deep
Where ancient bodies thrive and time is asleep
Where the old come to die and the older are reborn
From the muddy aftermath of a long summer storm
(verse)
A spell must have touched the crooked pines
So their branches twisted and grew intertwined
Secret revealed about stories untold
And layers of confusion begin to unfold
(bridge)
Plunging in murky abyss
Weary legs, arthritic wrists
But resurfacing, born anew
Scars all vanished in the Baikal blue
(verse)
Suspicion arose on the shore one evening
The pines pulsated as if they were breathing
Amidst the dust lain thick on the land
Must have dwelled a magic that I don’t understand
(bridge)
Plunging in murky abyss
Weary legs, arthritic wrists
But resurfacing, born anew
Scars all vanished in the Baikal blue
(chorus)
There must be something hibernating below
Through centuries of rain and snow
It hurts to wonder and never know
There is no more time to sleep
But we always must rise to eat
(verse)
Peering down into the curious deep
Where ancient bodies thrive and time is asleep
Where the old come to die and the older are reborn
From the muddy aftermath of a long summer storm

There must be something hibernating below
Through centuries of rain and snow
