Default Nana mouskouri - prisonnier dans l'ile (to pallikari)

    Hello,
In 1972 Nana Mouskouri recorded in Paris a wonderful song called 'Prisonnier dans l'ile'.
It seems to be of Greek origin - music written by G. Katsaros and lyrics by L. Papadopoulos with the title 'To pallikari' (very common, I am afraid). Does anybody know of the origin of this song? Who has recorded it originally in Greek etc. ? Search on the Internet has been in vain and so have requests in the major music shops in Athens, so now it is up to you out there !!! Any info will be highly appreciated.

"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping"
