.... She shed a tear and beauty filled up the world. It's this beauty that I crave and daily enjoy.
Hi! I am Greek, but I am about to go and live in London. I have been listening to music since... since... since... oh dear, was I five? I am currently a music editor and I love it!
I speak Greek, Spanish, English (oh well!) and French. I am studying Japanese and Arabic. However, I have been listening to tons of Turkish music lately and I think that I am starting to pick up words. It was thanks to my curiosity for the lyrics of such songs as cevapsız sorular by maΝga (if a man ever feels this way about me... my heart will melt...) that I learned about the site.
You seem to be such a great community!
I would love to find many new friends.
Best Regards!

Thank you very much everybody! I have been trying to learn turkish and there are so many words that I can more or less recognize, it's amazing! I need to visit Turkey A.S.A.P. ! Serbia too
If anyone wants translations of Greek songs, don't hesitate!“We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams.” -
As for Japanese, isn't it amazing when you spend all this time studying and then you watch an anime and you understand a word or too, even when this word is "baka" (idiot)?????? :P
“We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams.” -
welcome comrade...
-
hahaha yes it is :P how long have you been learning it?
-
Well... I have been studying on and off for almost two years in a class and by myself... But I intend to start taking classes again (and not just the rosetta stone ones) in the semester to come. So excited!
And I have a great confession to make... I have been wanting to learn japanese ever since I first watched the japanese titles in sailor moon (was I seven?).
You?????“We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams.” -
Oh! and now you can figure out my nickname.... :P
“We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams.” -
ahaa well i've been learning it in school for about 5 ish years now
and i've been to japan once and might be going again soon
haha but i've never seen sailor moon -
No!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should watch Sailor Moon just because of its historical value!
Do you like anime or manga in general? Lucky you, you've been to Japan! Oh, it must have been fantastic!“We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams.” -
haha well maybe i'll watch it one day :P
and i don't know i don't have anything against anime and manga, i've just never seen or read any :P
and yeah it was great -
You've been studying Japanese and you're not into anime and manga? You're the first person I've come to talk to whose motives for learning japanese doesn't include Naruto :PPPPPPP
I can always suggest some interesting titles if you want...“We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams.” -
haha well japanese is offered at my school so i decided to do it :P
and oooh yes you should -
I will suggest some gender-neutral personal favorite anime series:
-Black Cat
-Bleach
-Cowboy Bebop
-Death Note
-Elfen Lied
-Neon Genesis Evangelion (the end is pretty philosophical...)
-Samurai 7
-Area 88 (quite old, but excellent)
-Gunslinger girl
-Fruits Basket
etc etc etc
Most of these are based on manga, so you can start by the manga and move to the anime....
And anime movies:
-Everything from Studio Ghibli (My Neightor Totoro, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Porco Rosso, Grave of the Fireflies............ )
-Ghost in the Shell
-Paprika (I know what Christopher Nolan watched last summer!!!!!!)
-Perfect Blue
-Akira
-Black Jack
etc etc etc
Have fun!“We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams.” -
oooh okay i think i'll take a look
aaand in my japanese class we've watched totoro and spirited away and i've seen a nit of the cat returns so I know i'll like them -
I like your japanese teacher. Great taste in movies :P :P :P :P :P :P
Of course, they're japanese movies. So, they MUST be great!!!!!!!“We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams.” -
