I've gone crazy trying to discern the lyrics to this song! It's an awesome song and on constant rotation on my mp3 player, but despite having listened to it hundreds of times there's some bits I just can't make out. The lyrics don't seem to be available online, either. Here's my best attempt:
Sit by the radio, tell me you want me
At ninety-nine now, tell me you love me
Sit by the phone now, whenever you're able
Fo(u)r ceramic figures, Christ in the stable
If you give now, you're born again
If you give now, you're born again
I have watched you, and I have loved you
I was just seventeen when I first touched you
You speak in tongues now, but I can hear you
Stigmata bleeding, but I don't fear you yet
If you give now, you're born again
If you give now, you're born again
Slip around my neck, my God
?A bracelet is my baby?
I can't imagine what I need
'Cept your devotion, baby
Fill me up with Jesus
?And commemorative baby?
And if I give a little more, then knock me down and save me
If you give now, you're born again
If you give now, you're born again
The parts I can't make out are identified with quotation marks (?) around them. What I've written is my best guess, but doesn't really make grammatical sense, so I'm sure it's not right. The song's on youtube if anyone would like to listen to it; be warned that the official video is very much NOT SAFE FOR WORK and contains sacriligious and sexual imagery.
