    Default Damien Part 2

To be clear...I don't worship the devil, it's just a twisted song. Just wanna throw that out there lol. My band did a song about 4 years ago named Damien, this is just a follow up. Written in a couple minutes

    Damien Part 2

Smoke fills the sky as the Heavens burn
Angels clip their wings; they all have turned
Their backs to grace, drowning in the pain
The end is now, there’s no escape

A silhouette to the prince of sin
Clear your thoughts and let the devil in
Faith is gone, it never existed
Don’t fight it child ‘cause you can’t win

You can drop in prayer; search for your God
But he’s not there, the words all will fall
Onto deaf ears, are you lost within
    Open your mind, child…

    To Damien

Let his vision burn in your mind
Such a perfect picture…a perfect lie
    Believed by those without direction
Take the purest thoughts and reshape them

    Once condemned let the emptiness
Be your teacher, let it be your friend
It’ll soon be the only thing that you know
Your sanity will be the first to go

A silhouette to the prince of sin
Clear your thoughts and let the devil in
Faith is gone, it never existed
Don’t fight it child ‘cause you can’t win

You can drop in prayer; search for your God
But he’s not there, the words all will fall
Onto deaf ears, are you lost within
    Open your mind, child…

    To Damien

As I was reading this, I was picturing the scene in the beginning of the book "Damien Omen II" where Damien was having a vision of Hell as he watched the leaves being burnt at his uncle's estate before going off to the military academy. The song is brilliantly written. I'm imagining a steady pounding drumbeat like a death-metal funeral march and a voice cameo of Damien's aunt screaming his name in sync with the lyrics at the end the way she did when the museum was consumed at the end of the film.

thank you. I'm glad you can envision music to it and even some imagery to this is beautiful. Glad you like it!
