Here is my attempt for this nice song by Şebnem ,I hope someone can correct me
I got a little bit confused here when she says "Ay ışığında saklıdır"
does she mean "it is hidden in the moonlight",but I didn't find what does "it" refers to here
or does she mean "the moon is hidden in its light"
I will be grateful if someone clears up this for me
thanks in advance
Ay ışığı gözlerinde sımsıcak
The moonlight is warm in your eyes
Kalbimde bir gece ve yalnızlık
a night and lonliness in my heart
Işık gizler karanlığı
The light hides the darkness
Yok olmaz gölgeler
the shadows are imperishable
Ay ışığında saklıdır
it is hidden in the moonlight
Ay ışığında saklıdır
it is hidden in the moonlight
Yüzünde son defa bir öfke
Anger is on your face for the last time
Sonsuz bir bekleyiş son bulmuş
An endless waiting came to an end
Yaş temizler acıları
the age clean the pains
Yok olmaz izleri
its traces are imperishable
Ay ışığında saklıdır
it is hidden in the moonlight
Ay ışığında saklıdır
it is hidden in the moonlight

Şebnem Ferah - Ay Işığında Saklıdır

Hello larosa, if it is written separately, it means "the moon is hidden in its light". I think it was used purposely here to let it be ambiguous and open to interpretation.

so "it is hidden in the moonlight" is more accurate??

Like I said you can only distinguish them when they are written. Ayışığında (in the moonlight) is written together, whereas ay ışığında (moon in its light) is always separated. I am sure Şebnem Ferah chose the word purposely to let it have both meanings. None of them is wrong in the song where it is not written, but spoken.
