Why did you have to go
didn’t you think I had the right to know?
Did you ever look back
And wish you were on the right track
Or that you could start over?
I would have let you start over
Daddy Don’t you love me anymore?
Please don’t leave me
I cried as he walked out the door
I keep replaying it so much in my head
That it feels like it will split
and I still can’t fathom it,
Why did you leave me?
Didn’t you hear my plea?
Was taking care of me really that rough
Or was I simply just not good enough
Maybe I misunderstood
When you used to say
that you would never forget about me
What you said and what you did
were always like night and day
Daddy Don’t you love me anymore?
Please don’t leave me
I cried as he walked out the door
I keep replaying it so much in my head
That it feels like it will split
and I still can’t fathom it,
Why did you leave me?
Didn’t you hear my plea?
Was taking care of me really that rough
Or was I simply just not good enough
My heart cries everyday in every way
For what should have been but just slipped away
Why did you let it slip away?
Daddy Don’t you love me anymore?
Please don’t leave me
I cried as he walked out the door
I keep replaying it so much in my head
That it feels like it will split
and I still can’t fathom it,
Why did you leave me?
Didn’t you hear my plea?
Was taking care of me really that rough
Or was I simply just not good enough

Beginning of a new song... Don't know the title yet.

This one will probably be the most emotional one that I have written yet,

I must be very hard for you to write. It sounds like you've been rather badly hurt. As for the title, when you are finished you'll find it in the words that reach deepest into your soul.
-
True to both and yeah I probably will think of one later.
-
Finished I think but I can't tell if that should be my chorus or switch one of the verses?
-
Awesome dear

Hi!
I don't think it needs more lyrics.
The less spreading out, the stronger the song.
The theme is dramatic.
Such songs have been written around this theme, but new ones are always welcome.
One of the most famous "leaving" songs was probably The Beatles' "she's leaving home"
In this case it's dad who can't cope.
Standing in the true world you repeat the central thought: "Daddy, don't you love me anymore?"
Or even worse: was it never true?
Thanks. Good to read, but don't lengthen it too much, will you?
Then it will be strongest.
