So this thread is about songs that were just fine for some older periods but not consisted a great momentum in Greece's Music History!
Rules? I'll think about em later!

This is NOT the REAL Greek music. The second-worst greek music ever made

"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping" -
Yianni Floriniotis & Rena Violanti - To koritsi tou bar
Well picking the first one is difficult but this roughly cut diamond deserves it!
And miraculously this one has already "some" translation -> http://www.stixoi.info/stixoi.php?in...ails&t_id=3569

Well, Amethystos, your avatar says "ange ou demon".
And I don't think it was the "ange" who started this thread.
So then it must have been the "demon", huh? -

Could be true but no, not at all David.
There are products for the masses, aren't there?
Most of my posts had become hits, they fully served their purpose and brought happiness to their listeners.
We're living to create for the future but we also want to simply HAVE FUN!
For another example please read dialogue in the following thread -> http://www.allthelyrics.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=137844"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping" -
Some songs are like a wolf in sheep's clothing. They start nicely and end up
'though I have to say I like "Poso mou lipies", but the araibc original is much better. -
Some of them have orchestration problems, others vocal or with music or even with lyrics.
That's unfortunately the problem, sounds too Arabic ... even if this is a 100% Greek song -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ya_Ghayeb"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping" -
OK, fair enough Amethystos - I understand we can't always be "heavy" here - we have to have some fun here too.
But if we are supposed to have fun here, then I think you should answer the question I asked in my last post in this thread:
http://www.allthelyrics.com/forum/sh...=157232&page=2
I really DO want to know about this song "Αυτή που περνάει", like whether it was a hit and what Greeks thought about it.
But neither you nor Duffy have answered the question.
So - please answer the question and let me have some fun too! -
