to find out the name of a song from the 1950s and who sang it.

It was a male group and the lyrics that I can remember are:

"Extra, extra read all about it
Extra, extra read all about it
Put it in the paper, the morning paper
Everybody reads it, the morning paper
Same old pictures, same old ads
Same old world that's going mad
And oh Mr Editor, my baby says
    She loves me"

That's all I can recall. I would be so grateful if anyone can come up with the information.

    Thanks for looking.

Sorry logan, but "Want Ads" isn't from the 50's nor do the Honeycombs (a female group) say "She" loves me in that particular song.

Yea, you're right Vette. Wrong era, wrong gender, wrong lyrics; name of group Honeycombs? I believe they were males (female drummer) from the U.K. Thanks for your correction. Thanks especially for your help.

Thanks anyway - I'll just have to keep looking!

BTW can someone tell me how to alter my username to something a bit more concise please?

Click on your name. That launches another window. In that new window, I believe on the left, there's a column of options you have. One of those should allow you to change your name, password, etc. We're not finished looking for your song unless you no longer have the interest.

    Believe me, I AM interested!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did as you suggested re username - no joy. I also went to "User CP" which allows you to change your e-mail address or password but there is no facility for changing one's username.

I don't see a way to do it under the control panel either. You can contact the site and ask for assistance or, star a new membership and abandoned the old one. I looked at the faq and did not see a remedy.

Thanks anyway. Maybe a passing mod will see my dilemma.
